This course covers the various aspects of project appraisal and evaluation in relation to the project cycle. It emphasizes on the analytical tools that can be applied to identify, measure, and value costs and benefits of given agricultural projects for purposes of estimating the income-generating potential of such projects. The course exposes students to both undiscounted and discounted measures of project worth and aspects of monitoring and evaluation of an agricultural project.
